There was a young lady from Putney,
Who craved for Virginia Chutney.
"I spread it like jam,
On ham, spam and lamb,
And have trouble controlling my gluttony."
There was a fine fellow from Putney,
Who expounded on uses for Chutney.
"It's delicious with cream-cheese,
Strong Cheddars or soft Bries,
And, of course, goes on anything muttony."
A shopper from upstate Vermont
Cried "No No its Chutney I want.
The one from Virginia,
No - not Abyssinia"
And left feeling quite nonchalant.
"I eat chutney," said Marion B
"For breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea.
VA Chutney with cheese
Makes one weak at the knees
And goes terribly well with French brie."
This Virginia Company’s not any
Ordinary maker of chutney
It sells like hot cakes
Since it's got what it takes
